Bahrain king pledges to strengthen ties with Bangladesh

Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Khalifa has pledged his personal commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Bangladesh, assuring full support and cooperation.
He made this commitment when Bangladesh's newly appointed ambassador to Bahrain, Md Rais Hasan Sarower, presented his credentials at Sakhir Palace on February 25.
The ambassador conveyed greetings from Bangladesh's head of state, head of government, and people, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet the king just a week after his arrival. He also relayed special greetings from Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus.
Rais Hasan praised the king's leadership in promoting regional and global peace. He also expressed Bangladesh's deep appreciation for Bahrain's hospitality toward Bangladeshi nationals.
Rais was accompanied by his spouse, Dilruba Akhter.
Also present at the event were Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, personal representative of the King; Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, national security advisor, secretary general of the Supreme Defence Council, and commander of the Royal Guard; Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, minister of the Royal Court; and Major General Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Fadhala, chief of Royal Protocol.
