Touhid, Jaishankar discuss mutual interest in NY

Bangladesh Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar have discussed issues of mutual interest between the two countries, according to the foreign ministry here.

They met on the sidelines of 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Monday, Bangladesh foreign ministry said on its X handle (former tweeter).        

"Had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain of Bangladesh in New York this evening. The conversation focused on our bilateral ties," Jaishankar said in his X handle after the meeting as well.

The foreign adviser is part of the Bangladesh delegation led by Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus at the 79th UNGA.
