Information Adviser Nahid resigns from cabinet

Information Adviser Nahid Islam has resigned from the cabinet.
The July uprising leader confirmed to The Daily Star on earlier this afternoon that he has left the interim government.
One of the most visible coordinators of the July uprising that toppled the Awami League regime, Nahid, had the portfolios of Information and Broadcasting, and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.
Insiders earlier confirmed The Daily Star that Nahid will join the new political party as its convener.
Mainly consisting of July uprising activists are set to launch their political party on February 28 at a grand rally in Manik Miah Avenue in Dhaka.
