Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman met BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence Firoza yesterday .
 
BNP chairperson’s security affairs adviser Major General (retd) Fazle Elahi Akbar welcomed the Army Chief and his wife upon their arrival around 8:30pm, according to the party’s media cell.
 
During the 40-minute courtesy meeting, the army chief enquired about the health condition of the former Prime Minister and wished her quick recovery.
