5 killed as bus rams car at Dhaka-Mawa Expressway toll plaza

Five people were killed and 10 others injured as a speedy bus rammed a private car, motorcycle and microbus waiting in queue to pay toll at the toll plaza on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway this morning.
"The vehicles were waiting in line to pay the toll at Dhaleswari toll plaza on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway. The speedy bus of Bepari Paribahan rammed the car first, then a motorcycle and the microbus at the end at 11 am. The car became almost a pile of metal in the accident," Hasara Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Abdul Quader Jilani told .
One person died on the spot, while the rest were rushed to different nearby hospitals. Later four others died of their injuries at the hospital.
The names of the deceased could not be known immediately.
