President to exchange greetings with Hindu community leaders Sunday

President Mohammed Shahabuddin will exchange greetings with the Hindu community leaders at Bangabhaban on Sunday on the occasion of Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu Community in Bangladesh.

"The President, along with his wife Dr Rebeka Sultana will exchange greetings with the Hindu community leaders at Bangabhaban Durbar Hall from 11am to 12 noon on the occasion," President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS this evening.

Leaders of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust, Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad and Mohanagar Puja Celebration Committee will attend the proggrame.

As many as 1000 individuals including diplomats, senior journalists of the Hindu community and secretaries concerned have been invited on the occasion.

The invited guests will be entertained with the traditional foods, sources said.
